Election Night Goosebumps Poem by Hebert Logerie

Election Night Goosebumps

My mind is blank
Tonight
I'm being true and frank
That's right
I want my candidates to win
This is an important and vital election
I am fighting being nervous
Or having goosebumps
Many voters are overzealous
We'll go over the humps
Once we know who the winner is
Many of us are not at ease
On a more serious note, a deadly virus
Named COVID-19 is still infecting and killing
A lot of people. We were hoping and wishing
That a better team will be at the helm
We await the results. Don't blame
Me, because I voted for the right candidates
The ones who won all the debates
This is a strange world. Let's wait patiently
Don't let nervousness, pressure and anxiety
Affect our state of mind or our health
Relax and take a deep breath
Drink a beer, a glass of water or wine
Stop spacing and fussing. We'll be fine
Rah! Rah! Rah! Que sera sera
May God bless America!
