Dreaming Outloud Poem by dy.sin the writer

Dreaming Outloud

i dream of a day that shall never come
unless races are faded out completely
and faces no longer hold a hint
to cultural identity

and religion gives way to God
and brilliance gives way to a wayward mind
and height is given to the small
and weight balances itself to all it finds

and every head is shaved bald
so hair holds no shine or brittle end
and every tooth is pulled so the crooked
isn't abashed by the straightened

and every talent is smeared
so that everyone has a stage
and every wrinkle is forbidden
so no favor comes to age

and this day that i dream shall never come
would bring peace to the land
and do so by destroying
what makes us beautifully human
