Don'T Do This Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Don'T Do This

I thought we were okay on this.
Don't do this.
But you were bent on it.
You did this.

How many talks between people,
Sound like this?
To many talks like this
Go like this.

The stretch between mind and heart,
Needs to be looked at.
The heart needs to be weighed heavy.
The mind not so much.
