Domkop Poem by Herbert Nehrlich

Domkop

Rating: 2.8

In Holland where the tulips grow
and mills turn in the breeze
where barges have small boats in tow
and where they make great cheese.

It's where the gods do send the creeps
to punish and to change
did they forget that Holland keeps
the dumbells within range?

Each kop who doesn't think too straight
a blight is for all men
their presence punishes the state
until they're gone again.

Nice write Herbert! Although I think they forgot a few here in Canada.
