Do you ever have time?
To watch and appreciate
the crimson sunset and sunrise? ,
the sea waves lashing the shore and receding? ,
the numerous stars twinkling in the sky? ,
the beauty of the moon on a moonlit night? ,
the rainbow appearing in the sky after a drizzle? ,
the ever-changing shapes and colours of clouds?
the serenity of snow covered mountain peaks?
the birds returning to their nests in the evening?
Do you ever have time?
To walk leisurely
on the wet sand of a shore? ,
on the dew covered green grass? ,
through the unwinding paths of a rainforest?
Do you ever have time?
To welcome and enjoy the
first rainfall of the season like a child?
To enjoy the fragrance
of flowers in full bloom? ,
Do you ever have time?
To sit relaxed in a garden and watch
the multi-coloured butterflies flying? ,
the beautiful flowers in bloom? ,
little children playing and jumping with joy?
Do you ever have time?
To listen to
the chirping of birds? ,
the humming of bees? ,
the joy filled voices of playing kids? ,
the drumming sound of rainfall? ,
the roar of sea waves and falls? ,
the song of a nightingale?
the voice of your inner self?
Indeed you are very rich and fortunate,
If the answer to the above questions is "Yes" for you!
But how-so-ever rich and powerful you may be in this materialistic world,
You are indeed a poor soul if the answer to the questions is "No" for you!
For my dear friends,
Life is not all about acquiring wealth, power, name and fame,
It is not all about promotions, postings, awards and allowances,
It is about Nature and Humanity!
So bloom like a flower and spread the fragrance of your virtues in the world!
