Distortion Poem by Poetry Falcon

Distortion

The moment is over
The desire subsided
Strangers no longer
Intimately connected
Curiosity killed this cat

Now you've disappeared
Completely erased
From an already irregular view
Snippets of you here and there
It was different before we bonded

I must admit
I'll take the fault
I pursued my thirst
Without giving much thought
If you were available or not

But in my defense it was clear to see
You wanted me just as much
I could feel your energy
Drawing me towards you
Every time we got close enough

And maybe that's why
You've made it a point to go missing
A simple lust turned love
The power of attraction
Gone wicked when one is not available

At least that's what I tell myself
To feel a little better
About putting myself out there
A mental distortion
Between love and lust

A mistake made by many. The difference is a fine line. Very well described.
