Dimming. Noticeably Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Dimming. Noticeably

A bright promising display of light,
Has begun to flicker in the minds...
Of the ones losing it publically.
And not hidden out of sight.
A sanity slowly dimming.
Noticeably.
With those in control moving towards,
Their own vacant mentalities.
To believe themselves to be,
Envied.
For their slipping lack of common sense.
While defending a foolery.
Everyday getting more densed.
Scattered.
And freely dispensed.

Too obvious this is.
The chatter scattered is no laughing
matter.
Serious is the waning.
Detected by those empathetically pained.
To witness a once clarity connected,
Slipping away from any understanding to gain.

The glow goes.
Soon to disappear from their heads
unannounced.
Yet everyone in attendance see,
Minds die.
Spiraling from a light bright.
Leaving behind many who tried to save,
Those they can certify as being brain dead.
Pointless it is to reach out to them.
This was their choice to choose instead.
