Despot...20 Yrs On Poem by karen sinclair

Despot...20 Yrs On

Rating: 5.0

We are woefully lost in our remembrance
Wilfully digging somber graves
There are no frivolous net curtains
Dancing melodically upon softly waves

We spit and stagger our own vile words
Throwing daggers with hollow eyes
There is no truer pain filled loss
Than the lover you learnt to despise

Powerful words. Amazing how joy and sadness so often mingle at the door of every human heart.

Tyrany dwells in the history of lives, we break and fail, shattered pieces contained in neat convenient boxes.
