Decisively Speaking Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Decisively Speaking

There is nothing more,
That calms and brings relief.
Than someone who speaks,
Decisively with competence.
To ease the people,
Feeling to them what is heard to hear,
Has their lives prioritized.
Without someone else,
Expected to have this authority.
Yet only mentions,
The health of the economy.
And the fast pace back to greed.
Restoring a normalcy.
Temporarily grieving the absence of it.
