Dad, I Miss You Poem by Apolitos Kanenas

Dad, I Miss You

Rating: 5.0

Dad,
I miss you
I didn't realize how much you did
I hate my mom's heavy dependence on me
I hate spending money on things we don't need
I manage

I don't feel strong
Just very insecure
About the future
I manage

I think about you every day
About the emptiness
About the loneliness
I try to manage

All this thinking
All this pain
All the tears shed
I can't take it

I wake up to reality
The pain coursing inside of me
There is an emptiness that will never be filled
You don't know what you have until it's gone
