Crossed Roads Poem by Abdulrasheed Dawodu

Crossed Roads

I wear the crown
I hold the sceptre
I am the pacesetter
I take the lead
But restless is my mind

Lately; I have been wondrous
And my heart has been ponderous
Of her lifestyle, so treacherous
Looking back
Thousand of miles I walked past
The undoubtful fact;
I have travailed far on this path

Shall I retrace my steps
And be a follower perhaps
On the rightly path?
What will become of my pride
When I turn and take the right
Path I have left behind?
