Cracked Me From Within Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Cracked me from within
Sunday,23rd August 2020

I lower my head,  
and try to read
what did you leave behind?
you were never unkind!

I loved you so much
and tried to reach
bottom of your heart
with my being a sincere part

what made you go and desert?
in the darkness of night,  
you didn't look back
it just cracked me from within

was this genuine behaviour?
that snatched away my trust and honour 
my voice is choked and can't go far
I am broken and live with tears

I shall lament no more
or live with the fears
I shall go alone
and treat this as a bad dream gone
