Consecration Poem by RAJ NANDY

Consecration

CONSECRATION

Like the withered flowers and petals
fall,
Our lives are shed when shadows grow
tall!
Yet those blossoms when plucked during
early morn,
By priests and devotees before they fall,
And placed at the feet of the shrine in the
great hall,
Where the Buddha sits serene, majestic
and tall!
Those flowers get twice blessed, and in
turn bless us all!

So let our lives become wortwhile,
In helping and serving mankind;
So that like those flowers we all are
blessed,
And our lives at his feet we consecrate,
To earn the Lord's divine blessings before
our eternal rest!

service is the rent we pay for staying on the earth. the imagery in this poem and the the essence of living a worthwhile life have been very well portayed..incidently i like too pick flowers that are shed at night but are still fragrant and float them in water. they remind me of GOD.

Profound spiritual message. The destination of life is perfection. The journey should be towards that destination. Take care
