Colorado Rock Poem by Marilyn Lott

Colorado Rock

Rating: 5.0

Have you ever been to Colorado?
Oh, how gorgeous is the rock
Driving through the mountains
The beauty is truly a shock

The red is my favorite color
And there are miles and miles of it
Climbing through curves and valleys
What beautiful scenery you get

It’s as though they’re sculptured
Statues stand up so tall
Steep and rugged and awesome
There are times when you barely crawl

I hope someday you can share
Colorado for I know you would love it
Why not plan it in your next adventure
It is truly as wonderful as it gets!

Marilyn, this poem really paints vivid pictures of an incredible landscape. I have never had the pleasure of seeing Colorado myself, your poem at least gave me a bit of that wonderous place. Thank you sincerely.
