In the beginning
I was ignorant about things
Of late I came to know
What's important in life.

I continued my journey not knowing the way
I rested in the shade and gathered myself
Having discovered the ways of the world
Slowly but surely I approached You.

In a state of innocent disposition
I didn't know who You are
As I acquired some knowledge
I established You in my mind.

Now there's no chance of forgetting You
I'm totally absorbed in Your service
With the encouragement You give
I've become closer to my fellow beings.
