Clapping Drums Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Clapping Drums

Clapping drums sounding throughout the atmosphere,
leading me through avenues of a polka.

Laughing, enjoying it as my pen continues to tickle
paper with it's ink.

Slipping into depths of a waltz afterwards, finding
it's slower rhythms keeping me from moving forward
through musical melodies along the way.
