Civilised Poem by Jojoba Mansell

Civilised

Rating: 5.0

Arguing over parking,
fighting in the shops.
Brawling in the nightclubs,
disrespecting cops.
Claiming on the dole,
because you don't want to work.
Using others' taxes,
the ones that never shirk.
Turning off the tv,
when the third world is calling.
Won't dip our hands into pockets,
our lack of charity appalling.
Living like a caveman,
no thought beyond our lives,
I ask you all now.
Are we really civilised?
