Christmas Log Cabin Poem by louis rams

Christmas Log Cabin

Christmas log cabin

It was a Christmas log cabin with lights of red and green
From the darkness of the road that was all that could be seen
On the roof there was eight reindeer pulling a Christmas sleigh
With Santa at the helm to help them lead the way.
The waving of his arm attracting all from near and far
Showing visitors where to park their cars.
Outside on the pathway candy canes to light the way
And at the top of the stairs a pony merry go round
For the children to play.
The cabin was lit up with decorations of every kind
And with Christmas goodies - the best that you could find.
There was air blown balloons, mechanical and digital toys
For the adults and all the girls and boys.
There were Elves on the stairs leading to the second floor
With lit up arrows pointing to Santa's door.
You had to go thru the workshop where others worked frantically
Making the toys for kids like you and me.
He was working on the " naughty and nice list "
Of the kids around the world, putting down the addresses of every boy and girl.
" OH " the Christmas log cabin is really a sight to see
Just put the wish under your Christmas tree.
