Child of God
- - - - - - - - - - -
In weather fair or unfair
Waking and ascending one by one
From the shelter-oyster
Together in flocks
Like startled birds
To darken or brighten
The sky with frown or grin
And swiftly they drift
Leaving no time
To choose which is better
Yet sometimes they cheer
And refresh us with showers
Bringing joy to sad flowers
They are things with life
Blessed with breath and wings
Streaming down the ages
They are always on mission
Righteous or impious
Till the end with tasks abound
They carry on ceaseless
Thus always we wish them to be fair
For they are world shaper
Unless the fly-wheel of the machine
Of human life revolves properly
The machine can do nothing
The chariot keeps moving
Unless the horses well controlled
And the reins firmly held
And unless the driver is intelligent
The chariot may be thrown
Into the ditch and destroyed
So wake up child of God
Suffuse us with many a thought pious
And wake up my child dearest
Shake off all weakness and fear
And be strong more to love more
Thinking right, virtuous, and good....
(Fly-wheel# Thought
Horses- Senses
Reins- Mind
Intellect- Driver)
A Thoughtful flow of words from your pen. Very true said, the control of our sense should be in our hands, to keep our life flowing along with the chariot of our life. I loved the way you portrayed it. | Delete this message
Everything in Nature has a rhythm and proper order! We human beings too have to keep our mind, thoughts and senses under proper control so that our life's chariot shall not fall into ditches! Another great write!
