Certainly Misled Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Certainly Misled

An outsider may witness
And amusingly face
The plight of poor people
And students waging struggle

I was pained to note
For the people who fought
In past for Kashmir’s glory
It is no different story

The story of self right is forgotten
The play cards and mercenaries are given
More importance to highlight the open bribery
The crowd is hired to play against democracy

The painful entry of local militants is adding puzzle
Where is sacred mission of peaceful struggle?
Why innocent civilians and soldiers are killed?
The paradise is turning into barren field

How long the outside funding shall strengthen?
Will that solve the concern of beloved brethren?
We have the story of Israelis and Palestinians
How far they have turned their land into heaven?

How long shall we suffer?
What else can we offer?
More attacks and more bloodshed!
We are certainly misled

Certainly Misled
