Cast and religious lines

It is cheap slogan
Not liked by citizens
It is simply imposed by intellectuals
And most suitable to politicians

When whole of the nation is communalized
How come it fits population and materialized
No one has an answer and it has proved hollow
Can any country thrive on artificial deep shallow?

Unity in diversity means even though people are from different races
And practice different religions
How come their ideology coincides with rest of others?
It is mere appeasement in nature

Where illiteracy still exists
And people insist on old traditions
The scuffle and hatred for each other is prevalent
No one has good reason to comment

It is good to have unity
Despite people practising different ways in country
But if they are pitted against
It does not serve the best interest

India has specific problems
The country has got independence on religious lines
The large population was subjected to mass murders and killings
We have witnessed such suffering

Yet particular community is always involved
In sabotage and terrorists are helped
The communal feelings are at zenith
The people are feeling not comfortable to breathe easy even
