Can You Answer A Question?

Can You Answer A Question?

Me and you are the people we show true?
Can we live without our crutch?
The one thing to protect us from life's cold touch.

I wonder what keeps us going?
What keeps the blood in our veins flowing?
We all take personal blows,
And have personal lows,
And yet we move on till the bad is all gone.

But does it ever go away?
Or is it forever here to stay?

So what is your saving grace?
Your true identity, your true face?

Can you truefully answer anything I just asked?
Or are your true words muffled by a mask?

I liked this poem a lot mainly because its very realistic. I really don't know what keeps me going, and it's beyond me to figure out the reason why we keep moving on when people are constantly bringing us down. I don't know if I'll ever be able to present my true face, anywhere but PoemHunter for fear of the reactions of others. Anyways, great read! 10/10
