Cambridge -Seat Of Learning. Poem by Geoffrey Fafard

Cambridge -Seat Of Learning.

Rating: 5.0

A CAT
I talked to this cat at Cambridge
From a learned point of view
I told him that I talk a lot
But theres not much else I do
He sat in the sun and thought a bit
Then stared at me full on
To be a student here my son
First make sure that your mouth
Has turned your brain to on.

SOME DUCKS
Cambridge oh Cambridge
By the river
So much learning here
I hope a little of Oscar Wilde
May just rub off on me
Even the ducks are learned here
Unlike my ducks at home
That are wild and rough of feather
These chaps even quack wisely
Oh dear I fear
That I still have much to learn.

THE FOX
I met a fox at Cambridge
A wise and bushy chap
I pursued him up a country lane
To him I had to chat
But alas he had other plans
This running cunning lad
Who with his leaving said
Go and learn a little more
For your knowledge son is poor
And your roadside manners sad.

AND ME….
