Caught In The Net Poem by Geoffrey Fafard

Caught In The Net

There You Go Again…
Promising me your loving attention
Threatening to care
Loving my company
Yet ever eager to disagree
We are all too informed
In this shrinking world today
With internets, hair nets and
Braided multi optic fibre nets
We can catch and access anything
We are smart loaded and
Loaded with smarts
But at the same time
I have never seen more people tremble
I have never seen such insecurity
Or bleak personal forecasts
On such worried faces
Staring, reaching out
Through the thick fog
Of fear.
