You love your child within your heart.
But you realize also the child will depart
to stand alone, apart from you,
not something you look forward to.

But ah! the man you love within your heart
will always be there and never depart.
For death may take him away from you
and all the days you then live through

will remain with you, but never
will you have to stand on your own.
And never will you have to feel alone.
For his hands, his smile and his kiss will be
indelibly printed in your memory.
