Bridging The Gap

Bridging the gap
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
When shivering leaves are off
The boughs damp and dun with grief
When rustling corn and apples gathered in
And mellow treasures safe in barn and bin
The nature in a brown robe
is seen and autumn flies like a dove
Paving the way for the Hostess Generous
To make thanksgiving pies
Adults gathered for dinner in a room
To exchange reminiscences warm
While in another room, little children
Were playing alone
Then suddenly an elderly guest
Was found missing from the spot
Panicked, asked the hostess
Where is Aunt Peace?
From across the room came the rap
'I am here with kids bridging the generation gap'

Adults gathered for dinner in a room To exchange reminiscences warm While in another room, little children Were playing alone. Fantastic Deepakji! This is the generation gap that Aunt Peace is trying to bridge. I could also feel the pulsation of the changing season in your opening lines.....10/10
