Bias In Poetry Poem by Hebert Logerie

Bias In Poetry

Bias is imbued in our society
Bias in poetry is rampant and quaint
Subjectivity dictates and objectivity
Takes a back seat under the tent.

Poetry is beautiful, fun and stylish
However, to be known or appreciated
One must be part of a literary and diluted
Gang of friends and fragrant fish.

Bias in poetry is colorfully obvious
One can feel it and smell the aromas
We want to read the best stanzas
Rave and revere the best Morpheus.

Poetry should not be about the Poets
But about the literary works, the poems
We want to love and reward the best artists
With a parade of trumpets, horns and drums.

P.S. Young Poets, please don't get discouraged.

Poetry should be the literary work. You have rightly said everything in this amazing poem.
