Beauty is a matter of perception;
To be seen by the eyes,
Sometimes open,
Sometimes closed;
To be heard by the ears,
With repeated resonance therein,
To be felt by the senses,
But not to be touched!
Beauty is intangible, though perceptible.
It can be conceived, thought over;
Imaginations can extend its expanse
But it cannot be possessed forever.
One can muse on and on
Over a ‘thing of beauty',
Can get absorbed in, submerged under it;
But at some point one has to let go of it.
All beauteous imageries, however arresting,
Are temporary, but their impressions permanent.

A thing of beauty is joy forever. Yet, beauty is a matter of perception.One can muse over it. Sing and dance to the enjoyment of beauty and be bathed in it. A beautiful poem on beauty. Thank you for sharing it dear Poet......10
