Backstreet Blues Poem by Mustafa Marconi

Backstreet Blues

Goodbye my lady, I hate to leave you
Have to flee this scene again
Hold on to this, for the hard times
Backstreet blues about to sing
I know I said it would be different
I even promised to do my best
And though I tried so hard to please you
I’m just a fool like all the rest
Backstreet blues about to greet you
Backstreet blues I wonder why
Backstreet blues my spirit’s weary
Backstreet blues again I cry
I tried my best, I tried to please you
I tried so hard to live a lie
I tried to hide the pain within me
The choice I made was to survive
I write this note with this I'm leaving
Seeking refuge where I can
Hold on to this there’s no deceiving
If I must die, I’ll die a man
Backstreet blues about to greet you
Backstreet blues I wonder why
Backstreet blues my spirit’s weary
Backstreet blues again I cry

A superb flow to this as the lyrics of a song...really should consider working this to a music publisher..or even better get someone to put some blues music to it....
