Game Poem by Mustafa Marconi

Game

What’s up beautiful
Long time no see
Been passing by from time to time
Searching patiently
I didn’t bother calling
Preferred that we should meet
Surprised I should discover
You told my partner my game was weak
Approached you like a teacher
You bucked but then you stayed
And geared my conversation
To gauge what's in your head
Always my intentions
To steer away from game
To leave a strong impression
Of common sense and brains
Glimpse up at my partner
He had his eyes on you
Waited for my exit
To play you like a fool
He said the things you craved for
You said my game was weak
You gave him what he asked for
And now you’re sweating me
He didn’t bother calling
Game is just a lie
I hope you’ve learned your lesson
No need for you to cry
Prospects for relations
Are absolutely dead
No need for conversation
I know what’s in your head
Apologize for bluntness
You must respect my stand
Approached you like a teacher
Too blind to see a man
I didn’t bother texting
Preferred that we should meet
I want you to stop calling
You said my game was weak
