As time goes by

Things will be better off this way
even though it may not seem like that now
you will see it as time goes by

Things will be better off this way
even though it may not seem like that now
It wouldn't matter to you
you never wanted me around
all I ever did was cause you pain
and argue supposedly all the time

Things will be better off this way
even though it may not seem like that now
no one in my fam ever cared for me anyways
all they ever did was put me down
and toss me around like I didn't matter at all

Things will be better off this way
even though it may not seem like that now
I was never any good
from what I'm told
all I ever did was cause my mom and dad hell
and them to argue
and so much more
which I never would wish that upon
I love them dearly
so for that being said
I will do everyone a favor
and be gone for good
things will be better off this way
even though it may not seem like that now
you will see it as time goes by

This poem shows great sadness but hope and uses well the device of repetition. Stay positive and keep writing it is great therapy. (Report) Reply

things could never be better off that way, for in your heart you have so much to say, and leaving things up in the air and with your parents you can't share (Report) Reply

very deep and relatable. i went through similar things when i was younger, i must say that this poem brings back memories but also reminds me of how far i have come and what amazing things can happen in such a short amount of time if we have a little patience. i will definitely have to read more of your poems =) (Report) Reply

My parents argued all the time because of me. I am sorry they made you feel like everything was your fault... However space between you and them maybe a break for a while to experiment. Are you able to live without them or opposite... Thanks for sharing yet another great poem!

A nice piece of work which tells more about your life. But, we shouldn't give up in life so easily. So, move on with psotive works and, you will succeed in life. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.

To kill ones self means the others have won.
to stay and work through it and build a better future shows you can not be beaten, (Report) Reply

This is a very revealing poem about your past and present mindset...Suicide is not the key...Keep writing, this allows our fears and promises to reveal themselves...good writing (Report) Reply

Borne up by each wave as it passes, drawn down by each wave that recedes;
