As Close As Twine Poem by Steven Antunez

As Close As Twine

Rating: 5.0

n your eyes, I see a time... a time in which me and you were close as twine... But as time raced forth, and that twine became unraveled and torn... My heart ached.. and it still does.. to have you back in my life once more... And to this day, I must declare, I love you silly you can't compare. Don't you see my dear, as you walk nonchalantly in inconspicuous flair, how I peek from around my chair, to catch a glimpse of you and wash away all the despair? Yes you see, for I do, admire you more than a blue nights moon... Don't you realize that with a touch, conglomerate we are? Please don't fuss. Your hazel eyes, and immaculate face, engraved with a smile of the purest grace, never cease to make wish, that I could go back in time, to a place, where me and you, just us two, could weave a tether and tear through space, to a time, in which me and you were close as twine.
