my hands were outstretched towards you
and in them, My heart beating for you
In my hands i held it, did you not see?
The love i grasp for you for all eternity?
and as i was getting on my knees
to propose to you my true loves divinity,
you grabbed her hand, and in that act
i stopped breathing, and stumbled back

And that heart in my hands
the very same one i ripped out for you,
it slipped from my fingers and out it flew
and with lifeless eyes i watched
as with every tick of the clock
and the beating of my disappearing heart,
the memories of you and me slowly began from the start

its been five years and counting since i met you
and not a day passes by that i’m not blue
because i never got to tell you
“love is what it is my dear and i was built for you”
But now as my time with you is limited my dear
the love in my heart escapes into the air
and i can no longer be held back by fear
But now that memory comes to a halt
because what happens next is like drowning a wound in salt

and with a crash, there it went
my heart torn asunder
and my soul mangled and bent
I couldn’t believe what you had done
“I’m empty! ” I cried
I would never find anyone
with hazel eyes and a whitish face
embroidered with that smile of the most serene grace
but there is something else i must say
did you know my love, that every night i’d pray?

Every night i’d beg for you
my hands sewn together into the air
begging whatever god, for you
to come up to me and declare,
“I love you steven you can’t compare! ”
But here i sit, alone in a room
with a river of tears and a smile of gloom
and a realization of the utmost despair,
“there is no god! ” I declare

It’s almost humorous now don’t you see
that as my body lay here in agony
with my chest empty and my veins cut in threes
and the blood of my innocence spilt for thee
the drenched pieces of my heart form an image of you and me
and with one last breath i managed say
“how i wish i had told you that very first day”
