I See Your Shadow
Swaying In The Breeze
Your Smile Penetrating Life's Divine
Our Shadows Walk Infinitely 
Among This Earth
Across Every Path,
Over Every Valley,
And Through Every Tree
But Only Until Thy Sun Goes Down
Does Your Smile Fade
And My Eyes Grey
Don't You See?
The Twilight Hour Dawns Upon Us
And The Fork In The Road Grows Clear
I Have Feared This Moment
Ever Since We Vowed Each Other Eternal Friendship
Under The Fall Of The First Snow
At This Moment I Cannot Conform With What The Great Isaac Newton Once Said
“What Goes Up Must Come Down”
That Is Simply Not A Probability To Me
Why Can We Not Float Together
Looking Down On The World
Forever, In An Eternal Bliss?
It’s So Unfair...
But The Earth Doesn’t Work Like That
We Grow, We Learn, We Achieve
Not Alone, But Together
And Although Distance May Come Between...
It’s Never A Separation,
But A Journey...
We Look To The Sky
In Time To See It Wane
Along With My Heart
But Don’t Fret, Don’t Worry
Although The Sun Has Dawned To Dusk
Our Shadows Are Still Connected
Even Stronger Are They
For The Great Light That Once Separated Them Is Gone
You Walk Down The Opposite Road
And I Grab Your Hand
Tears Streaming Across My Expressionless Face,
I Beg Of You Not To Go
But You Say You Must Follow The Ever Receding Light
The Same Light That Brought You To Me,
And The Same That Will Take You Away....
My Vision Distorted,
I Attempt To Focus On Your Face,
Just To Get One Last Look At You
Before You Leave...
Because I Know That Once You Leave,
There Won’t Be A Tourniquet Big Enough
To Stop The Pain From Flowing Through My Heart
We Embrace For What Seems Like An Eternity
And I Beg For Time To Stand Still,
To Let This Moment Last Forever...
You Try To Break My Grasp
But I Won’t Let Go
I Feel The Warmth In Your Chest,
Like A Phoenix Reviving From It’s Own Ashes
And It’s Not Until This Moment
That I Notice Our Hearts Beat As One...
In Shock At The Realization
You Break Free And Caress My Face
You Examine My Expression
Your Eyes The Purest Shade Of Black...
You Lean In...
And Whisper Into My Ear
Those Words I Will Never Forget...
“Although We Go Separate Paths,
Never Forget That In The End
All Paths Unite Once More...
A Friend Of The Best Quality You Have Been,
And Although The Distance Only Temporary....
Never Forget, I Love You..”
You Smile One Last Time At Me
And I Give You A Grin
The Floodgates Open
As You Take Your Strides Across The Path
Away From Me....
I Break Down...
My Soul Cannot Bare
For You To Leave
So I Lay Motionless In Despair
In An Abyss Of Depression
Mourning The Loss Of My Companion
The Only One Who Kept Me Alive In This Prison
The Only Person Who Turned This Desolate Smirk
Into A Smile Of Laughter And Felicity
And Its Not Until I’ve Completely Lost Myself And All Your Mind
That I Look To The Sky..
A Single Raindropp Falls On My Face
It’s Not Possible
Could It Be?
Had The Clouds Been
Mourning For You With Me This Entire Time?
Or Had You Never Left?
Maybe...
...
Maybe You’ve Been In My Heart This Entire Time...
And There Was Never A Reason To Fret...
Our Lives Will Always Be Together
No Matter What The Distance Or The Circumstances May Be
We Will Be The Best Of Friends
And Although We May Bicker
In Heart I Will Always Love You...
At The End Of The Eighth Month Of The Year
I Look To The North
A Single Silhouette Appears
And From Corner To Corner
The First Smile In Months Extends
