Another Race Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Another Race

Another race

Rivalry is age old
As people are told
it continues in world
In many folds

It was picked
And tricked
In mind
With various ways to find

The love disappeared
And hatred feared
The expansionist tendency increased
The love trend ceased

So the blood was shed
And rumors were fed
People got afraid
The trap was laid

People were pitted
One against another opted
Religion was brought in
The hatred is now more deadly seen

People will never follow
And allow
The harmony that we need
And pay no heed

No change will take place
One race shall work against another race
Regions will be turned in hostilities
Peace shall now be distinct possibilities
