An Empty Heart Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

An Empty Heart

Perforations along sides of life where death tears us all away
from life, leaving our loved ones bereaved and bereft with no
sympathy whatsoever for them.

Abandoned and forlorn, nothing to help sooth the tremendous
loss caused by death, empty, eerie feelings of isolation
taking over a person's life.

Leaving them overwhelmed with an intense grief and an empty
heart for the rest of their lives, only holding onto the
memories that were made through the years lived together.
