An Accident Poem by abhimanyu kumar.s

An Accident

I started at 2.15 to be exact,
Few MTRS on the highway flat,
I realized the less fuel in my tank.
Paid Rupees 500 from my bank.

I had promised a chap,
And had also planned for a snap.
He was in need of me,
For a guide and teacher in me.

My riding was not the first time,
If you can count more than thousand times.
There was this reunion too the next day,
As it was Sunday and a planned day.

Nothing more I carried on my mind,
Except the chap and reunion behind.
Oh betaji! Oh babuji was on the playlist,
My speed was usual with no twist.

A sixty year old man with his old horse,
With no knowledge wanted to cross.
He was in a hurry to untimely right,
Which he admitted later was not right.

In matter of seconds I was dragged,
For about thirty metres clearly ragged.
Oh betaji was resonating with little flesh,
On the road and a crack so fresh.

I was conscious enough and
Wanted to know the old man first,
He was fine with little hurt,
With folded hands begged for my hurt.

I did not rage or pounded over him,
For my patience was all above him.
Maybe I realized it soon,
And accepted the time very soon.

Five people with worried faces,
Came with water and my left traces.
A colleague I called who was so calm,
And in no time I started feeling warm.

There were a lot of angels surrounded,
From my work place acquainted.
I could read the love and emotion carried,
For which the pain got buried.

It was no doubt a bad day,
But surely a memorable day.
I am happy to be as I have been,
And would continue to remain as they have seen.

Dedicated to my beloved SDC Family.
