Alone Poem by Anthony Spiros Mcgilvra

Alone

A sea of charming faces glaring empty eyes
A lifeless illusion filed with endless lies
It’s all a blur in my mind there is no concentration
A million stars in the sky but no constellation
Light all around me laughing in my face
It knows what I don’t it’s this force i can't face
These voices in this mist the emptiness inside
Oh how I wish for once I could see through this disguise
So i reach out my hand, to touch this luminous flare
My hand gets burned I slip away in the end i just don't care
i creep back in the corners into my cocoon
I'm naked in the sun I'm dreaming on the moon
I'm dancing with the wind I'm sleeping in the clouds
I'm floating on deceit and blocking out the sounds
The truth is my death my endless fall
In my castle all alone my mind is my wall
The king of my loneliness the joker on my throne
With a sea full of faces but I still feel alone
