All Of Those Worries.... Poem by Lyn Paul

All Of Those Worries....

Rating: 5.0

The older I am getting,
The younger I am becoming.
All of those worries,
What were they for?
They only caused heartache
and opened, not one, door.
Friends met along the way...
Some still with me.
Some chose not to stay.
Looking at pictures.
' Hey I looked pretty good back then'
Yet now,
The personality is just getting bigger,
And.. I am NOW,
almost the perfect '10'
Cause.
I look pretty good and know how to smile,
I can do many things
And believe I have style.
So that's all you have to do.
Believe in Who you are
Yesterday
IS ALWAYS FORGOTTEN,
TOMORROW... YOU WILL GO FAR.
None of us are perfect
We all have something to give...
A gift for others makes you want to live.
Remember,
Just how far, your smile can go
What it gives to others..
A seed waiting to grow.

Yes we all need to accept ourselves as we are, there is so much to smile about and to rejoice in the gift of giving love, we will receive our reward of an incredible inner journey of total fulfillment! Excellent write!

Well penned Lyn, we waste a lot of energy worrying about things which really are not all that important.

yes, you are definitely getting younger! in another few decades you will be close to your second childhood. and a decade or so later, you may be in diapers again! ! ! yes, you DO have a LOVELY smile. you are the one on the right, RIGHT! ? nail biting (see Poet's Notes; thanks btw) : my fourth wife talked me into not biting nails (or screws) . i now use a nail clipper. who knew such a gadget existed? YesterdaY IS ALWAYS FORGOTTEN, TOMORROW... YOU WILL GO FAR. None of us are perfect and we all have something to give...............well, you were very close to being perfect in this poem, but you have TWO capital ys in YesterdaY. and speaking of perfection, why do you say None of us are perfect..? oh! you forgot about Bri! bri :)

A very meaty write complete with wise words and life reflections. For some people, age can make them better, not bitter. So that's all you have to do. Believe in Who you are.

Aging... isn't it great. As Twain said: It's better than the alternative. Good write.

very scholarly written, and that too as if by the hands of a physician who is confident about the cure he suggests...good lively beginning, and a strong poem over all...yet i believe yesterday is NOT ALWAYS forgotten! ! !
