A Purged Mind Is A Beautiful Thing! Poem by Leaking Pen

A Purged Mind Is A Beautiful Thing!

A purged mind is a thing of beauty
Like my cleansed emptied garbage bin
I can see clear inside of it
After the first rinse…
From warm water and soft detergent
It even smells nice like forest pine
From northern Minnesota woods
And in the process
I scrub my hands
Three times my ritual, I make a point.
Is the garbage bin more precious than me?
Of course not, it's quality time for me now,
To purge my mind from all degrading thoughts
That feed and destroy my inner core.
I wear boxing gloves and head to the Gym,
Punch a hanging boxing bag
And one by one
My accumulated anger is decimated
With each sweat that falls from my forehead
I get to free my lungs from life's constraint
As I blow steam like a charging locomotive
Then I find tranquillity.
Back home, I shower my body clean
And make it smell like Irish spring
And I smooth my skin with NIVEA cream.
I brush my teeth to a whiter shade with Colgate,
Rinse my mouth with an alcohol free mouthwash
Tease my skin with a couple puffs from a Polo perfume bottle.
In bed I get under 100 percent white Egyptian cotton sheets
To my heart's anticipated love of my life
And we make love again and again…
Gentle to each other, as a butterfly but peaking like Niagara Falls,
Finally in the arms of love we lullaby our delicious night
Like innocence from a newborn baby we both fall asleep.
