I awaken with the thoughts of you
At the end of a gratifying and starry night,
When the dawn's cool breeze blows softly,
And the rising sun is shining bright.

I awaken with the thoughts of you
Infused with a spirit in my heart
That has led me quietly and amorously
To the bedroom where thou art.

The wandering thoughts become intense
After the morning glow and a night's dream.
My mind is overwhelmed with passion,
Like floating leaves on a tranquil stream.

My cheeks are extremely cold and palid,
My heart throbs abnormally and fast.
Oh! press your tender lips against mine
Where they will heighten my love to last.

Lift me from the struggles and anguish of love,
I yearn to feel tenderness - please don't fail!
Let the soothing of your genuine kisses prevail
On my needy lips and cheeks so pale.
