A Little Too Much Poem by Louise Walker

A Little Too Much

Deeper,
Deeper into your mind.
How far can it go?
One step, two step, three step, four.
What was that, a knock on the door?

No one there.
what's going on?
My mind is going.
A flash of light here, there, everywhere.
This can't be much more than a measly scare.

The end.
It has come.
On the floor.
Laying there.
No pulse, no breath.
That needle. My death.
