Player One Poem by Louise Walker

Player One

Do it.
Do it.
Do it.
...Do it

To your hearts content.
I won't make a stand.
I won't protest.
I won't give any other command.
It's what you want.

Contradiction is your middle name.
Go play your little game.
That one you never told me about,
remember?
Leave me here on my own.

Two can play one game,
For what is a game with only one player?
I'll join you, for I shall try
Work out your desiring need.

Revenge is sweet. You'll get exactly
What you deserve, darling.
You lost at your own game.
Only payback will keep me sane.
