Mr. Tupper made the ware
Assyrians dyed the hair
Egyptians made the cough drop
Back in 1000 B.C.
Alka-Seltzer came along
Back in 1931
But before that
Came Mr. Wrigley (chewing gum)
Neckties came from France
Pantaleone wore the pants
But in 2nd century Rome
Came the cold cream
But my favorite, Betty Crocker
Who wasn't even real
Was a 1921
Minnesota dream.
