Debora Soramaki Poems

My coffee cup
Lives with the guy next door
While he's making coffee
I go out to explore
...

A Canadian goose was on the loose.
Every day he would say as he'd fly
High in the sky, ' Look at me, look at me,
I'm free, I'm free! '
...

Your plan to destroy
Started out slow.
I was your first victim,
But you didn't know
...

It was not my imagination
This communication vibration
Helping me see my situation
To follow through the regulation
...

I'm driving down the freeway
Abiding by the law
Soon I hear a truck behind me
Biggest thing I ever saw!
...

Going somewhere?
Have to fly to get there?
Where are your thoughts
As you look out the window
...

Once upon a time, down through history,
The cause of divorce was a 'He' or 'She'.
It's a different story now,
One that's hard to tell, but the culprit has a name
...

Are you confused as to who you are?
You're just not sure what gender to be.
I'll give you a clue, look in the mirror,
What body parts do you see?
...

I have all of these zucchini
What am I suppose to do?
I could fry them or make bread
Better yet, cook in a stew.
...

As we sit here and dine,
The candles are lit,
With two glasses of wine,
And your humorous wit,
...

Many trails are amongst
The long bladed fields
Of greenish yellow glow
Surrounding the bodies of
...

We offer our care
With joy in our heart
To share our love
As we do our part
...

A man should have a mustache,
That's what facial hair is for,
Otherwise his face looks naked
And his life would be a bore.
...

If shoes could talk
Imagine with me
On pathways they walk
Where wildlife pee
...

Silly me some would say
Cuz I love the old man,
My auburn and his gray,
His white skin and my tan,
...

All humans are equal in God's eyes
Whether rich or poor, black or white
No Nation is above another
Making one wrong and the other right.
...

He gave her many reasons
Why she magnified his heart
The peridot of seasons
Navigates it from the start
...

I can't have you
So this is hard on me
You've helped me through
The biggest catastrophe
...

He is so handsome
And intelligent too
He's tall and strong
My man in blue
...

In kindergarten
She loved to play
But after school
She was on her way

My Coffee Cup

My coffee cup
Lives with the guy next door
While he's making coffee
I go out to explore
Bakery goodies are waiting
For when I get back
Along with my coffee
Which I'll drink it black
Sometimes the ole cup and I
Go for a ride
With the guy next door
Who has nothing to hide
French vanilla's ok
Hazelnut, mocha,
Newspaper, then pay
Soon we're back on the road
And my cup will stay there
Next door with the guy
Who has dark brown hair.
