It's been said
'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'
Well
Since I beheld you in my eyes
I seen the beauty you've so long
Doubted yourself as to having

As we lay
I never closed my eyes and imagined
The reality of it all enthralled me
Held me
Moved me
And I felt it was my duty to
Tell you these things

Not only did I know it made you feel good
A good diet of truth and justice never hurt anyone
(Lovers especially)

I say truth because
It is true that I find you attractive
Your voice alone
Sends chills up my spine and reminds me why
I get jealous when you talk to other guys
(Even friends)

Justice because you deserve every compliment
I bestow upon you
Justice because for so long
Other guys have done you wrong
And you believed it would never end
I can not pretend to know
What those other guys were thinking

All I know is when I'm away from you
I'm thinking of the next time
We can see each other
I'm smiling cause I know you
Like I know myself

I know a beauty like yours comes
Once in a lifetime...

And I know
You are the nourishment my soul needs
You bring out the best and worst in me

The best I say
Cause I can think of no less way
To treat you

The worst when I have to contend for your heart

I wish you loved me the same
Sadly you do not

You love guys you have to
Argue with and chase, and wonder if
They'll leave you tomorrow
You love those who don't know a good thing when they have it
Never known sorrow
Ha.
They think sorrow is a bottle of JD
And a country song

So lonely I am
The epitome of sorrowful
I'm the lonely lion lying to myself
That you'll need your king once again
That you'll need my help

I'm sorry my love has conditions
I'm sorry when it comes to you I'm selfish
My stupid pride
Won't allow me to share you
I want you all to my self
Seems like...

We always want what we can't have
We always cry when we can't laugh
We always rejoice when we get mad
We're always happy when I'm sad

At the loss of beauty
I once beheld
Never to be mine again
