People call you Krishna
People call you Kanha
I call you the Lord of Universe (Jagannath)
For you rule with justice and kindness
I get completely lost
Whenever I look into your eyes in curiosity
Your eyes are like oceans,
Like skies, stars and moons
Round and unfathomable
Don't blink and always open and veritable
Wish I could dive and swim,
Fly and dream
And circle and twinkle
Alas! I am incapable
Your hands are bigger than
All the hands stuck together between earth and heaven
Lips red and purple in your mouth
Look as sublime as a lotus in her youth
And reminds me of a sun rising and rising
As if to touch the heaven in a serene morning
Your breath is like morning breeze
And when touches me, I come alive with a new lease
And while you walk flowers bloom
And trees lengthen shadows to their fuller realm
Your path to soften
And made softer even
The pavement for your holy feet
When I scatter flowers white,
Blue, yellow and red
With all my heart, soul and mind
Oh Lord you seem always looking at me
Looking at what I know not unto pains me
For I am a sinner, punish my sin
And mould me by your heavenly wand to a flower of the Divine
Oh Lord your darkness lights my path
And your blessing strengthens my faith
I ask nothing
Only a little more blessing
To see you within me always
And sing with my infamous voice your sweet song of heavenly praise
And worship you devoutly with all my mind, soul and heart
And love you unceasingly night and day to the last
