A Decade Since Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

A Decade Since

As it may seem you were not seen
And many a spring, many an autumn
Many a summer and many a winter
Have passed but not unseen and solitary
For days are profound and uncanny
They come with you daily
And awaken my memory
As I longed to talk to you unmindful of century
Yet the distance lingers in my mind
Could I but measure precisely indeed
And had I but wheels to move miles
And wings to soar highs
And oars to row deeps
I would have been there since
But as memory travels faster and love fastest
Thus will you stay ever closest and ever dearest to my heart
