A dream recalled
- - - - - - - - - - -
I know a land where
I had been once in night's cover
The world was asleep
And soon I was coming under her spell to sleep-deep
I reached the place past midnight
And there it was sparkling noon in sight
Whether the place set in concrete or stone
I couldn't discern
But the throne where
The sovereign sits and rules neither
Struggles nor strains to keep it in fine feather
For it's the same whole as ever
Enormous is its territory
Abound with white flowers, white fields and white corns with no boundry
Welcome here are souls free
With Jehovah's savoir-faire
The storm strives to shaken it
And so do all of nature's beings weak or mighty
But could succeed none
For the king being so precise and dead-on
Could be solemnized a ruler not offhand
Seeing him I cried
'Oh what a mistake, what a mistake
He said with apology and regret'
'Please go back home my dear
I will call you latter'
For I was an uninvited guest
A whiff of an intruder cunningly smelt
Farthest between east and west
Now closed with my return at his behest
Him I offered my indebtedness
For judiciously acting his sense
How ecstatic I was then
When I saw the day king blushing to embrace the new morn
And birds chirping and fluttering
To glide to a new height through maneuvering……..
