It's difficult to be who you really are
when so many are trying to be something they are not
fakery and bullshit seem to rule their lives
while you try to guide yours with truth

it can be a drag when you wear your heart on your sleeve
and people are trying to rip your shirt off
walking around bare chested is ok in summer
but not desired when the snow and ice set in
the ones who hide their heart don't know it
but they can never feel as much

It can be more than a challenge to be naturally good looking
when every one you meet seems to be covered in make up
fake tan and hair dye can be just as bad
many people seek to cover any beauty they had
choosing to go with man made ugliness

It's not easy being who are
when every one else tries to be someone they are not
ditch the fakery and be who you really are
it's who you were born to be
